We have designed this tour to cater for those who wish to visit the renowned art museums and installations on the ‘art islands’ of the Seto Inland Sea. This is a boutique tour for a group of no more than six and will include stays at Benesse House on Naoshima as well as the historically significant castle town of Matsue on the Japan Sea coast. In Matsue you will be able to enjoy staying in a modernized luxury Japanese hot springs inn (ryokan) and eating traditional meals. At these two destinations, you will be able to see celebrated collections of Japanese and western art as well as a garden ranked as the best in Japan. Starting and finishing in Kyoto this tour is suited to those who wish to add a specialized art tour to their holiday in Japan.
