+AUD 1500 Single Supplement
This tour is designed for those who want to see, at a leisurely pace and in a small group, more secluded but culturally significant sites in two of the art capitals of Japan – the ancient imperial capital of Kyoto and what is described (because of its culturally rich history), as “Little Kyoto” - Kanazawa, the capital of Ishikawa prefecture. Drawing upon our extensive knowledge of these two historical cities we will visit the less crowded cultural sites and gardens as well as cutting edge modern museums exhibiting the best of contemporary art. One of the highlights of this tour will be a two-night stay in a small luxury hotel in the historically significant Okazaki district outside of Kyoto. It is only a short walking distance from here to Kyoto’s most important art museums and cultural landmarks.
